hola! hi!

My name is Jaqueline Perez Carrasco but I also like to go by Jaqui. I’m a Mexican-American designer out of San Marcos, TX with a BFA in Communication Design from Texas State University. I am currently a designer for Legacy79.

If you spend time with me on the road you’ll find that I’ll never shut up if I see a small brand that I think could use a redesign. You’ll also catch me recognizing a typeface when I’m out living my day to day life. For example, I went to SeaWorld in San Diego, CA and I saw Cubano being used on their flyers, or Gopher on the alphabet letter mugs at Target, or even the flyer inside the movie theatre restroom stall using Bungee.

When I’m not straining my eyes to design at my computer for hours, I like to strain my eyes reading the small print in books. This works out because I also tend to rest my eyes a little too much when I’m given the opportunity to nap.

Let’s grab a drink and recognize typefaces together!

gracias por mirar mi trabajo! thank you for looking at my work! <3
